What type of sedation will you be having?
Your doctor's office should have let you know. If you're not sure, give us a call and we can check for you.
Moderate Sedation
Also called "conscious sedation." You'll be relaxed and drowsy but may be partially aware during the procedure.
Monitored Anesthesia Care
An anesthesiologist will keep you fully asleep and comfortable throughout.
No Sedation
The procedure will be performed without any anesthesia or sedation. No medication changes are needed beforehand.
Monitored Anesthesia Care is only available at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.

Which prep solution were you prescribed?
Your doctor's office should have told you which bowel prep to use. If you're unsure, call us at 213-368-0360 before purchasing.
GoLytely
Prescription prep — a large-volume solution (4 liters). Taken as a split dose the evening before and morning of.
Gatorade + MiraLAX
Over-the-counter prep — MiraLAX powder mixed with Gatorade. Split dose with Dulcolax tablets.
SuFlave or SuPrep
Prescription prep — a low-volume, flavored solution. Two bottles taken as a split dose.
MoviPrep
Prescription prep — a citrus-flavored solution mixed from powder pouches. Split dose evening and morning.
And over how many days?
Almost everyone does the one-day prep. Only choose the two-day if our office specifically told you to — it puts you on clear liquids for a full extra day.

Standard Prep
Clear liquids from noon the day before. Two doses — one in the evening, one the morning of.
2Days
Extended Prep
Clear liquids for two full days, and double the prep spread over four doses, for a more thorough cleanout.
